PREDICTIONS THAT FAILED - THE LAGGING INDICATORS! Are you guys using Lagging indicators? One of the biggest mistake in marketing! Even big firms! Lets say you analyze the market, saw something booming like Metaverse, AI image generation or quick commerce or NFTs, and you try to make one. The analysis you made was based on a previous trend, which gets outdated quick as the trend reaches its peak by the time you realized its need. Anything you make will attract more time, leading into heavy chances of failure. Or someone started something better Lagging indicators are metrics that reflect past performance rather than predicting future trends. Companies spend heavy on research to reduce lag and launch at the right time, but in most cases, they realise the lag much later Few other examples: - Unemployment rate: Job market conditions after changes have occurred - Corporate profits: Financial performance after a reporting period Tell me few things you predicted wrong below:
