We Indians stayed from Tata cars for a long time as almost all their models were being used for taxi services. Car ownership is still a very personal affair so try to think of other automotives like private buses or autorickshaws, etc. Also, I've explored this option maybe 18-20 years back when I wanted to buy a car. This model failed then so you have some references to conduct your due diligence.
