Ancient Nalanda University was established in 5th century CE, In Bihar by the Gupta Dynasty and it was one of the first residential universities in the world, attracting scholars from Asia and other countries. Which was unfortunately Destroyed in 12th century by invaders (Bakhtiyar Khilji). But there us a good news India is reviving its Great Ancient past which means "reviving the Nalanda University". The idea to revive Nalanda University was proposed in the early 2000s, With Countries like China, Japan, Singapore, and others expressing interest in the revival of Nalanda University. This led to the passing of Nalanda University Act in 2010 by the Indian Parliament, which formally established the university. the primary architectural vision and master plan was developed by the firm "Vastu Shilpa Consultants" with principal architect: Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi, a renowned Indian architect and urban planner, and the 2018 Pritzker Architecture Prize holder.
