Hello everybody! Day 2 of knowing about businesses that are still operating even after being illegal! Kerosene (illegal sales) You are probably wondering what could go wrong with kerosene. And why is it banned, well kerosene being banned and illegal sales occurring are two different topics to speak of yet they are interconnected. Well kerosene was partially banned by the government due to its hazardous effects On air and health, thus the supply and import were banned for locals and only a few designated authorities would be able to sell it in a limited quantity, and to avoid adulteration of petrol. But let's talk about the illegal sales going on, kerosene is an inferior good that is essential to lower middle-class households for different purposes! So the gov gave them subsidies and supplied it to them for a very small price and a few (hushiyar) brains from these families decided to resell it illegally to local dealers(not government designated) and earn profit from them. Byeee!
