What is alternative to Doom scrolling? Everyone knows it's bad but every platform is using it. Is there any alternative way to keep up to date on a platform without doom scrolling feed. I'm working on something with a feed and I hate doom scrolling.

You must understand why doomscrolling is happening in first place? Because minimal amount of brain i.e. resources is being used for consistent amount of dopamine. If you even figure out an alternative, it will only have to be worse than doomscrolling i.e. cheaper dopamine.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in communicating The argument was not about doom scrolling being bad and looking for alternatives rather than scrolling. I'm looking for any alternative to it in a content platform where you need to keep up with content.

With that said, what can be done is atleast utilise this doomscrolling/ cheap dopamine pattern for something valuable or productive. Like gamifying learning a language (Duolingo) or productive learning content part of doomscrolling. Such that atleast you're losing less and actually gaining something.
