Hindustan Motors is making a Comeback !! In 1957, Hindustan Motors began producing the Hindustan Ambassador it became an iconic car in India, widely used by government officials.It was known for its robustness, spacious interior, and suitability for Indian road conditions. It dominated the Indian car market for several decades. After the liberalization of Indian economy the entry of foreign brands started to introduce modern, fuel efficient, and technologically advanced cars and it failed to innovate so HM sales started to Plummet.In 2014 HM stopped the production of the Ambassador due to mounting debts and declining demand. In 2017, the Ambassador brand was acquired by Peugeot.Hindustan motors will collaborate in a 51:49 JV with Peugeot to produce new EVs with classic design with modern Features in it’s Chennai Manufacturing Plant.
