What is the motive, point behind joining it? I watched a couple of videos on yt and it seemed very pretentious or "wannabe cool" type thing without even saying what they are all about.

it's just an external motivation to get up and go do that thing you were always thinking about doing. i think it's a really great initiative, so that's why I'm participating. as for what they are about, their website explains it so much better than their videos. you can read up about the whole thing at https://buildspace.so/hyper
