Here's what Consulting companies look for: 1. Top acads 2. Excellent communication - reading and writing 3. Well made resume, in STAR format reviewed by atleast 2-3 consultants 4. Thorough in consulting case frameworks and guesstimates. You will find a lot of consulting case books from B Schools online. Find a few classmates who are equally or more enthusiastic about getting into consulting, form case prep groups and prepare - you will need atleast 3-4 months of consistent preparation. And once you think you are good at case frameworks, go to a mentor in consulting and do case interview, take feedback, repeat. Find a good consultant mentor for 3&4, work on all these you will make it.
