Hello everyone need your advice. Can WhatsApp channel and group be your mvp? Currently have 1.4k users and im planning to take it to 4k users what customer need im fulfilling there need. Its Not perfect but its workable. Can i see it as mvp ? Or i have to build actual product

Yes, a WhatsApp channel and group can absolutely be considered your Minimum Viable Product (MVP) if you are effectively using it to test and validate your core customer needs and gather feedback, especially with your existing user base of 1.4k and plans to expand to 4k.

A community can only be a user base but not an MVP. Users can never be the product. It might be a great source of consumers for you. But it can never be a product. Having a good community qulaifies you as a good marketer.

You can build a community first and then build a product for the community. You can watch out for You can identify the key interactions and transactions in the WhatsApp group and decide to build a product if it can be 10x better with the product (considering the effort required to migrate the community to the product).

Try adding some value added services, and see if they buy from you or not. If yes, whats the % of yesess, the conversion rate. And ultimately what’s the feedback on your product/service

If there is no call to action, if they don’t buy products from you regularly like Zepto’s userBase did from their former ‎WhatsApp channel, there is no point.
