AI is taking over a lot of human tasks, including resume writing. But doing it wrong will only get you more rejections. So how should you leverage AI to build resumes? Step 1 - Write a long paragraph about your work experience at a particular company, and ask AI to convert it into impactful bullet points with correct grammar and language. Step 2 - Now ask AI what other information I can add to these bullet points to make them impactful - like metrics, domain and industry of work etc. Then add those details. Step 3 - Tell your interested role, years of experience, primary skills, and latest work experience to AI. And ask it to write an impactful summary in 2-3 lines using these details. AI resumes are mostly generic. But if you give these specific instructions to AI, that resume won’t be generic and might get you more interview calls. I’ll be posting more resume related tips and some ChatGPT prompts shortly.
