Startups and Marketi... • 1y
The idea of working on a startup by taking a career break seems both unconventional and intriguing at the same time. Oh wait a minute , do I need to call it a career break because I am not working else where for a paycheck or should i consider the startup experience as a real experience if at all I want to update on LinkedIn for whatever the reason. I think most company hrs are not comfortable with a candidate who worked without a payscale at some early stage startup or his own startup. I believe their biggest fear is because of the market being flooded with candidates with fake experience. But they can simply evaluate a candidate by his insights, learnings and asking for a reference . This will not only encourage people to choose a different path and also gives them a chance if at all things go south. It's going to be calculated risk at the end of the day. Comment your views.
