There are mostly 2 ways you get a video editing job. 1. You directly work with a influencer, youtuber. Here the benefits are you can do remote work. Also your pay will be more like 50k per video or 1 lakh per video like that. But very hard to crack it you need a great portfolio and vary high cold msg and emailing stuff need to be done. Here you can talk with the person and change things accordingly in all forms. 2. Cohorts or consulting firms: Here they you full time. Work will be assigned to you in unusual way. Like you don't do just 1 person videos. Pay will be more like salary and you can't have flexibility much. This is also reasonably hard. Video editing jobs are very rare. It needs best portfolio and competition.
