I get your concern. In fact, I am myself a software developer by profession as well. And thinking the aspect you mentioned, I also plan to provide a feature where you can export the code at any point (there may be some one time payment involved, but it would be possible). Now think about a scenario where a client has asked you to build him a super basic CRUD app. You need to do a lot of environment set up right ? What if you had a tool where you could go and build the boilerplate ? Heck even make the frontend and the basic backend user logic with your db (sql/nosql) of choice and then export the code to work on it by yourself ? Don't you think that's way cooler ? You could even make your entire project in the app and then export it if you'd want to. Then once the client asks for a small change, you could do it on your local environment and push it to production using the app itself. Just think of the possibilities it would open up for you.
