Let's prioritize green spaces, shade, and ventilation in building design. We can also invest in low-energy cooling solutions and promote energy-efficient building design. It's time to take climate change seriously and work together to create a more sustainable future. It's incredibly disheartening to see the severity of these heatwaves and the lack of proactive measures being taken, especially by the government. While there are solutions available, it's frustrating to witness the inertia in implementing them. Without government intervention, it's challenging to make significant progress. Currently, our cities resemble concrete jungles, making it even harder to implement necessary changes. However, there's hope if government takes action!

Cheaper solution is to apply green Matt's on the roof tops and apply cool paints. Though it sounds simple effects are huge... A simple combination of this will give. A variation of 10 degree. Right now the problem in metro cities is, all the huge building are acting alike gaint heat battery. As we are not giving enough time to cool them coz at nii we use air conditioning units which keeps the buildings warn. But when the mats are used the amount of heat absorption will be reduced which will effect directly less usage of ac and provides some time to get things cool .

There are millions of them coming and building as we speak..

Try coming up with specific, hyperlocal solutions for your region, observe what change can you bring alone. Then ask people to come along

Its sad. We have to put efforts together to make it easier for people of age and youngins to be safe.

It's a large market to capture. But the problem is coustomers in India do not like experiment they want results and guarantee. Once this is cracked then there is no stopping. One of the idea is rain water harvesting, there is product which will take the responsibility and guarantee their product ( govt have many studies and pratical examples which can be utilised for creating the product and assure results). Geo thermal cooling. Most of the electric load is of cooling systems in their infrastructure. And this is a working model in many countries. Unfortunately in India we haven't created a product and provide guarantee for the customer.
