In reality, small businesses are frequent targets for cybercriminals due to less stringent security measures compared to larger organizations. Over 40% of cyber attacks target small businesses. Many small business owners believe they are too small to be targeted, but being a smaller brand does not make their systems less appealing to attack. Data from cyber insurance claims shows breaches generally range between $15,000 to $25,000 in recovery costs, with an average recovery time of 279 days. Despite this risk, 51% of small and medium businesses don't have cybersecurity measures in place, with 59% saying their business is too small to be a target. What do you think of this?
