How about baked lentil/chickpea snack bites or chips? High in protein, affordable, and could be seasoned in lots of tasty Indian flavors. Better than just empty calories.

Actually that is great idea if you provide verities in this food and also you need to increase self life of your snack. After this you can do mass production and distribute all over the India with proper food demographics knowledge.
