I'm really impressed they can run such a complex operation without a physical office at all. Just shows that remote work can be highly productive with the right processes and people in place.

Using Upwork and browsing Github for talent is genius. The best developers are often doing open source work or freelancing.

It makes total sense for a global game like chess to have a globally distributed workforce. Letting employees work from anywhere is probably a big perk for recruitment.
