"TICTOK IS NOW AUTOMATIC" TikTok is automatically labeling AI-made content, even if created with other apps. This follows their existing policy requiring creators to disclose "realistic" AI content, but enforcement is difficult. Content credentials, a kind of digital watermark, trace the origins of AI-edited images/videos. Users can view this history if platforms support it. While TikTok is the first video platform to use this, it'll take time for widespread adoption. However, content credentials aren't perfect. Metadata can be removed and labels might be ignored. To address this, TikTok is partnering with organizations for media literacy campaigns to educate users about AI-generated content.
