I recently checked the price of digital gold, which is approximately 75,800 INR. Additionally, there is a 3% GST, amounting to about 2,200 INR. When selling the same gold, the price is around 73,100 INR. This results in an immediate loss of about 5,000 INR, or roughly 6% of the value, just by entering the market. Essentially, the price of gold needs to increase by around 6-8% for me to break even. I'm curious about why people choose digital gold as an investment/saving vehicle despite this initial loss. What are your thoughts and experiences with digital gold investments?
