Thik of yourself as an AI with conciseness, see, our brain just recalls similar experiences, reports, news, faces, situations, millions of them, how you tackled with them, and give you out an avg reaction of all of those, in just a fraction of seconds. How? I’ve no idea, but that’s part of our experience in life, conditioning exercises you’ve went through knowingly/unknowingly. I think this whole process of judging someone in a glance is just a miraculous feature, humans have developed over the period of evolution. Not always right, but it always works.
