Yahoo - was founded in 1994 by Jerry Yang and David Filo two graduate students but he's the thing Yahoo was never meant to be a business these two graduates just listed their favourite website in a directory and published it in the internet. Because back in that time internet was cluttered and thus their directory got views in million and just after 6 years Yahoo was valued at $128 Billion and they got a chance to buy google at just $1 million but as we know they turned it down they also turned down the offer to buy Facebook, ebay and even YouTube but they turned it down, probably just to save some money. However it's biggest problem was internal - Yahoo tried to do everything at an early stage and thus giving people no reason to recognise it and then yahoo also turned down Microsoft’s offer to acquire them at $44.6 Billion only to be acquired by Verizon in 2016 at a valuation if $4.8 Billion and then sold again in 2021. As a result it has almost disappeared. Thank You.
