This is actually low-key brilliant from a business strategy perspective. Have a core offering that seems simple and commoditized on the surface (online shopping), but then layer on all these additional value-add services that you can charge fees for. Aur phir BNPL toh hai hi.

The delivery fees one is an interesting nuance I hadn't considered. You're so conditioned to "free shipping" being the standard, but of course there are lots of exceptions and scenarios where they'd need to recoup those costs somehow. A clever way to drive more profit from impatient buyers.
