South Asia's biggest Gigafactory is here. The expected launch is in August. To everyone new to this, a Gigafactory is a facility with a capacity to manufacture batteries over 5 gigawatts hour a year (Niti Ayog). The term was first used by Tesla in 2013. The large scale production is intended to meet the growing demand for electric vehicles and renewable energy storage. EMotorad 's Gigafactory with an area span of a million sqft would aim to streamline the manufacturing process, increase production capacity and make ebikes accessible to a broader market.
