India's two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, has established a new manufacturing plant in Manaus, Brazil. The facility was inaugurated yesterday in the presence of the Governor of Amazonas, other dignitaries, dealers, and business partners. With this new production unit, the company now sells its vehicles in 100 countries across the world. The Manaus facility spans 9,600 square meters and has a production capacity of 20,000 units per annum on a single-shift basis. It is equipped with engine assembly, vehicle assembly, and testing facilities. Notably, Bajaj Auto plans to expand the facility further in due course to accommodate an additional production capacity of up to 50,000 units per year.
