My friends ESOPs were clawed back citing “commitment issues” as a reason after two goddamn years. Is this even legal in India?
This seems highly unusual and potentially unfair. Clawback provisions typically relate to financial restatements or misconduct, not subjective assessments like commitment. Legal consultation sounds like a necessary step here.
