IP rights can be enforced in various ways, like if I have applied for trademark registration for an identical name as yours, in the publication stage you can file for opposition, other than that, you can take Civil or even a Criminal Action. Criminal action will involve raids and imprisonment whereas through Civil action you can claim for fines and bar the person from use that trademark. Same goes with other IPs, just acts get changed. In Copyright, infringement could be is someone is using your music, song, lyrics, counterfeiting your works, etc In Patents, its innrelation the invention someone using. Trade Secrets are protected through NDAs and other contracts. Enforcement of IP rights is a tedious task, requires whole lot of strategy, raids, constant monitoring, tools, all with the combination of legal actions.
