As of April 2024, Tata Group is in the final stages of negotiations to acquire a majority stake in Pegatron Corp.'s iPhone manufacturing operations in India. The deal is expected to be finalized as soon as May. After the deal, Tata Group will run Pegatron's operations in India, while Pegatron is expected to help with manufacturing expertise. Tata will operate the joint venture through its Tata Electronics unit.
