My perspective? Nurture your real friends and be vigilant about toxic ones. But also be slow to make enemies in the first place. Kill 'em with kindness and try to make more allies than foes through competence and integrity. Though you can't avoid all conflicts, minimizing unnecessary antagonism is better than paranoia.
