Today's Factoid:- "Vicco Turmeric Nahi Cosmetic, Vicco Turmeric Ayurvedic Cream." If you are a 90s kid it is impossible that you haven't come across this iconic jingle (I am sure most of you read it in the same tune). But, did you know that this jingle was borne out of a lawsuit. Yes! You read that correct. So, back in those days cosmetic products were levied more tax than ayurvedic products. Excise department categorised these products under cosmetic and but Vicco claimed that those were ayurvedic products so less taxes should be levied. This saga continued for many years and amidst all this chaos one of the most iconic jingle came to life. Vicco wanted to make sure that people saw those products as intended.
