Boom of EV and how can India beat it's competition? (Part-3) Before jumping into India's role in EV revolution, we need to understand current market leader i.e. China. So china has stacks in world's biggest hard rock lithium mine - Green Bushes Mine in Australia and second largest share holder in Chilean mining company - SQM Co. In addition, China's Ganfeng Lithium Co. controls 51% Argentinan Lithium project and they invested in Bolivian Lithium reverses. In total, China control over $1 trillion supply market of lithium which itself is a big deal. Secondly, they have refining capabilities which any other country does not have it yet. In total, they control 60% of the global lithium refining capabilities and manufacture 75% (148/200) of the total batteries. So the question over here is - why does the world let China dominate this market? We could have recycled it and resell it. The reason is there recycling capabilities which is 66% in total.
