Boom of EV and how can India beat it's competition? (Part-2) Well in any industry, there is a start product which makes up the most of the system, here we have lithium which is used to make cathode of the battery. Here location where lithium is found is very critical to geopolitics. 96% of the world's lithium is found in four countries which are- Australia - 52% Chile - 25% China - 13% Argentina - 6% Even though Australia has more lithium than China, they can not ship it directly to the world because lithium can't be sold directly, it first has to go through processing method. Due to the lack of high tech machinaries which China has, they gained the power of Australian's high value product. Only because of this Australia ship approximately 90% of their lithium ores to China. Now we will see how China dominates this market globally later.
