The reason why they are not building market place is , they new , they will have to face major challenges like : commissions, quality, trust . I think it will also increases the friction in getting service, which may result in customer may leave the app , thinking who will do this much research for finding for good service provider. Secondly, if you are trying to build ka market place, then the major and serious issue you will be going to face is , Commissions. You will have to keep both , service provider and user happy , which will result in lowering your profit margins.
