Better UI/UX, less transaction fail rate, and they never really forced on yk rewards, scratch cards, so people went and stayed there organically.

Early adoption to UPU was probobly the main reason. PayTM was stuck to it's wallet and GPay got approal late

Constancy without braking goverment any rules and regulations . Google is foreign company so Indian's are not trusting Paytm is good but not following rules of RBI even I am paytm user everything is good in Paytm but only problem is rules and regulations

yes man, the transaction success rate and speed honestly made me stay to the app. Google pay was soooo unreliable in such serious hours of payments that I was done with it

UPI Market Share,December 2024 1- PhonePe - 47.7% 2- Google Pay - 36.7% 3- Paytm - 6.87% 4-Others - 8.73% Phonepe alone have almost 50% market share.

Google pay is shutting down its US business, Paytm is already struggling here in India, Google playstore is delisting some apps but in all this; PhonePe is launching the Indus App store, interesting 🙂
