Because if a startup is successful in the west, then definitely there is a product market fit and there is a high chance it will be successful in India as well as the consumer behaviour is very similar. So who would miss this opportunity!?

You are wrong at consumer behaviour point , there nothing same between WEST and INDIAN people . Indian just copy the idea/concept . Implementation and execution is very different
