India doesn't have it's own OS we are completely dependent on ios and android. India should have it's own OS. This will help in maintaining privacy and security as well. I'm thinking of working on making an OS for india no matter how long it takes . Give your suggestions please. And will this work? It is going to take a lot of time and a good team. What are your thoughts on it?

Anyone can just simply fork open source os and make their own the only problem present is mass adaptation and giants like Microsoft make sure to market so much that the non tech people go for buying os

Even cyanogen os couldn't break the barrier but, Kai os[jio]is the only Indian os doing good[but as of now it's limited to keypad phone]

Are there any competitions? Not any major, no. Is this a great space to build yes, definitely. Irrespective of many a companies having been trying with jugaad systems. But with enough conviction, research and innovation with focus on specific usecases that can be monetised in India will definitely works.

If Android has 70%+ market share, why do most new features still launch on iOS first? Why do companies test their apps and updates on iOS first? Is it about users, revenue, or just perception?
