My first instinct after seeing this thing is if the TAM is this high, then why not anyone tried this. There are many marriage brokers like whole full stack marriage consultants or you could say organization's why they don't enter into the tech market as a product? These are my questions I have read this kind of idea and year ago? Here is my research around this: 1. Mostly marriage people wanted to do their wedding with trusted entities. They want their known food catering, known places almost everything known. 2. Most of the marriage couple don't wanted to make this things easier. If you are making the whole experience easy and fast. Like where is the fun then. They wanted to shop their clothes like their own way, they want to make things as slower as possible. You are making it simultaneous. It would make them anxious. 3.The issue from networks and integrating this many services is hell of a ride. This kind of integrating things are very very hard to crack.

The TAM is definitely huge, but a marriage is one of the most important things for us Indians, and we won't be accepting anything less than perfect for a give budget, atleast that's what the approach is. And if you are going for an aggregator model, I assume you will be showcasing the local vendors, as the style of marriage is also quite different in different regions in India. So you need to think why will the vendor prefer being on you website/app and why would the customers book from your app rather in approaching directly.

Sounds like a great idea. People would greatly prefer paying a small premium than having to run around planning the events. The only thing I want to ask whether it would be like an aggregator platform for these services (eg. You can book person A for mehndi at x rs., A pan wala person B at y rs ) or a one shot solution(in this case, it might act as aggregator platform for existing small players).

You can even make marriage affordable too by Sponsering them . This means by putting ads in marriage will help companies to get marketing and the person will get money for the same

Yoo thats great , even I did some research on them and turned it it's big market indeed and there are I guess 2 or 3 big shot players right now .. But the entry barrier is bit high because of stereotype - local wedding halls book karlo ya fir decoration walo ko etc etc... I might have connection with some of best makeup artist & models .. Do connect with me , for future synergies .

The TAM is definitely huge. Only problem is you would be competing with a very narrow minded user base. Marriage via a service will be immediately shot down because people like to keep the prep extremely private.

I had seen such a platform in past.. don't remember the name.. but it didn't work out please do your research why I tanked?

Brilliant idea..

This will be a threat to the current big players and getting labour will be difficult.

Organising and bringing it together in one platform will be the bigger task, as the idea really sounds great, would be convenient for users too.

The wedding space is good plus if you can build and get some traction there are many angels and companies who can invest like shadi and bharatmatrimony.

Idea is brilliant .. and you know what I also researched on this topic 1 year ago but currently this is not my plan ...
