Really the key is to intern with them, At least one of them, or just intern for a US based company throughout your college, you’ll at least get a great network who you can fall back to, considering not all of them go to IIT, another great thing is applying for fellowships that can be great for some funds, you get a vision early on and have a well structured idea as to what to do after. All the best.
