I had previously some anger issues and I would probably give some weird argument previously but now what I learnt is arguing doesn't makes sense if it's someone who is not valuable. ( in simple words , Valuing yourself more , giving time to good and healthy conversation instead of stupid arguments which eventually end up making you egoistic and retarded ). I learnt this from Buddhism and meditation. Meditation is really a very effective way to make control. Meditation is something which makes you better in every aspect.
