Firstly it isn't a ChatGPT copy. It it can give response to the latest news as well. What makes it unique that it scans all the website and presents the answer to your question. You don't have to look here and there for it. (Even google does that but

Even chatGPT 4 can access the internet. It is not exclusive to perplexity. If we keep the controversial bias of Gemini aside, we can say that perplexity is competing with Gemini and not Google search then. Because Gemini - has access to latest news

I never used gpt 4 so i don't the experience. Will definately try it. When i said perplexity is great, what i meant is that the service it is offering is much better than google (search experience). So it doesn't matter which app we use, the Search experience of perplexity is great (even gpt4 and gemini would be great). So the competition is between the the user experience of Google's (including other search engine) and perplexity's (including gemini and other) search experience. And here the new search experience is winning according to me. So I'm not with perplexity but the new gen Search result tech.

So Deepseek is nothing but an improved GPT4 wrapper. I'm not saying that's its bad, bust it's most likely a government funded company which burning as crazy (as GPT4 api costs are 107 times more than of deepseek v3)
