Seeing a lot of people recently saying perplexity has the potential to compete neck-and-neck with Google in the search engine market. What's your opinion on this? - What makes perplexity unique? - Isn't it just another GPT wrapper? I heard about it just a couple of days ago and I'm kinda "perplexed". It does count as a search engine but it's not like those typical search engines that I'm used to seeing(Google, Bing, Yandex, DuckDuckGo etc). To me, it feels more like GPT summarising a topic or a query. Am I missing something?
