imo this is high time employees with many years of experience(say 7+ years) at a senior role in the IT sector should think of becoming an employer themselves rather than sticking to a company for life as they have the experience of how a company is run. Not to mention, only if they're financially stable and have a backup option if things don't go as expected. They can start their own startup and it'd be easy to get skilled employees these days as many are looking for job. Though funding might be a small obstacle to deal with. Other than that, if one succeeds in doing so, it'll not only secure his future but also create more employment. Job seekers don't have huge expectations these days either. Some of them might have higher demands, typically those who've been laid off from senior or lead roles but they'll also bring in greater experience with them which would surely add to the odds of succeeding in building a business.
