Is college a necessity today who have done their non med in 12th?if anyone doesn't get tier 1 or tier 2 engineering college ,should one join a college or no?

Me doing internship+freelancing+building side projects+learning stuff. And the clg professor asks: " why don't you come to college? " What should I reply🤔

The naunce here is if someone even wants to go abroad for study and wants to come back to India, it will at least take 5 years for a better ROI, what do you think?
