I'm now in my second semester of a BCA that I just started. I watch videos and read a lot of tech news. Recently Info Edge CEO Hitesh Oberoi said, “If IT companies’ demand doesn't pick up, then there will be a challenge,” what we've been seeing for the last three quarters now is a serious slowdown in IT hiring and also in our consulting business.” He said IT services grow by even 10% in January-March, then it “would be a different story but right now IT growth is negative.” AI is readily able to perform more tasks than a person, and large tech corporations are likewise mass-laying off employees. What are your thoughts on each of those subjects? Will the IT industry end? If layoffs, AI, etc. occur in the future, would there be fewer openings? After I graduate in 2027, will I be able to find employment? Should I pursue a different line of career? If so, what profession ought I to pick? If not, what kind of skills need I acquire to get by in this predicament? Final advice
