I agree that the show is misguiding youth into thinking that is how real funding works. But then they can’t sell it without drama in India :(

Unfortunately it's a soap opera. Reality behind the scenes is very different. What started as a way to draw young generations has turned out to be a TRP gimmick.

The show and concept is very nice, but there is of course too much drama, and some useless absolutely dumb sharks like Vineeta, who themselves have come on the show just for marketing their company are ruining it. If you just look Sugar cosmetic numbers it can show how Shark Tank is a marketing stunt for her. No body even knew what is Sugar was before ST. So I feel that the judges should be proper investors instead of these marketing hungry CEOs.

They have managed to inspire an entire generation to startup on their own and create jobs. It’s a net positive on the nation’s economy. :)

I have heard only 40% of the startups get funded eventually after getting a commitment on Shark tank.

I can’t digest the hate for the show in this comment section. Just because you’re privileged to know more about tech and startups it doesn’t mean that Shark tank india is a bad show. It is 100% successful in spreading awareness about startups and that’s a good thing.
