Zoho ramps up communication platform 'Cliq' to take on Slack and Zoom

Software major Zoho has announced updates to its communication and collaboration platform, Zoho Cliq, as CEO Sridhar Vembu stated that Salesforce's Slack is not viable and lacks AI capability integrations. Zoho Cliq, launched in 2017, competes directly with Slack and Zoom. The platform has seen a 30% increase in user migration from Slack and Zoom, with a 150% growth in revenue in India. Zoho Cliq offers a customizable interface with language customization capability, and the new features will be available from November 2023. Zoho is optimistic about the Indian market, aiming to become the second-largest market in 2-4 years.
