YouTube could be worth $400 billion — that's more than Disney and Comcast combined. We should be paying more attention.

YouTube, the world's largest video platform and the second-largest search engine, could be worth up to $400 billion as a standalone company, according to analyst Michael Nathanson. Despite its massive size and cultural significance, YouTube often goes unnoticed by many. Nathanson's estimate is based on YouTube's projected operating profits of $5.5 billion and revenues of $45 billion in 2023, with future growth expected from subscription services like YouTube TV. When comparing YouTube to other major players in the streaming industry, its value far surpasses that of individual companies and highlights its importance in the video, internet, and advertising landscape.
