WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature that will allow users to "like" status updates, similar to Instagram's story likes. This feature aims to simplify the process of acknowledging and engaging with shared content. The like reaction can be triggered by tapping a heart emoji icon while viewing a status update, and the status uploader will receive a notification about the like. This feature will not clutter chat conversations and is expected to roll out gradually in the coming weeks. WhatsApp is also said to be developing a voice chat feature with Meta AI's chatbot functionality.
