Marine robotics deep-tech startup EyeROV has raised INR 10 Crore (about $1.2 million) in a pre-Series A round led by Unicorn India Ventures. The company had previously raised $788K from GAIL and others. The funds will be used to strengthen its geographical expansion into international markets and develop advanced marine robotics products and solutions, EyeROV said in a press-release. Co-founded in 2016 by Johns T Mathai and Kannappa Palaniappan P, EyeROV is a deep-tech company which is specialized in marine robotics and AI. The Company aims to empower industries such as energy, maritime, defense, and infrastructure through its cutting-edge unmanned technologies. According to the Kochi-based company, it has introduced commercial underwater drones/ROVs and launched an unmanned surface vehicle (USV) that provides solutions in both India and the MENA region. EyeROV also manufactures solutions for infrastructure inspections and collaborating with defense R&D labs and forces through the Innovations for Defence Excellence (IDEX) initiative to develop maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) solutions. EyeROV claims that it serves prominent clients including Tata, Adani, BPCL, DRDO, and the Indian Coast Guard, having completed over 100 underwater inspections. It intends to triple its revenue by the end of the financial year by boosting sales in both domestic and international markets.

Coratia Technologies raises Rs 5 Cr led by Piper Serica Angel Fund Deep tech startup Coratia Technologies, an indigenous underwater robotics company, has raised Rs 5 crore (around $563,000) in a funding round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. Its existing investors include MGF Kavachh and Pontaq Ventures, which jointly invested over Rs 17 crore in July 2025 to support India’s strategic autonomy in underwater and subsea robotics. The fresh funding follows Coratia’s recent Rs 66 crore contract from the Indian Navy for its indigenously developed Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (UWROV) named Jalasimha. The proceeds will be used to strengthen in-house research and development, expand manufacturing capacity, upgrade product lines, and explore international markets, the company said in a press release. Co-founded by Debendra Pradhan and Biswajit Swain, Coratia Technologies is incubated at NIT Rourkela and develops advanced autonomous underwater vehicles for defence and industrial applications. Its flagship systems include Jalasimha, Jaladuta, Oceanus and Navya. The Odisha-based startup has executed projects with the Indian Railways and IOCL Paradip. It was also recently invited to Brunei Darussalam, one of Southeast Asia’s largest oil producers, to demonstrate its robotic systems for subsea inspections and maintenance of offshore energy infrastructure. “This investment supports our vision to transform underwater robotics and strengthen India’s position in the global blue economy. Our focus is on building a global supply chain from India and exporting indigenously developed capabilities that address both strategic and commercial needs,” said Debendra Pradhan, co-founder and CEO of Coratia Technologies.

Drone tech startup Enercomp raises Rs 2 Cr in bridge round Drone tech startup Enercomp Solutions has raised Rs 2 crore in a bridge round led by angel investors. The round was advised and facilitated by Bestvantage Investments, a boutique investment advisory firm that connects high-growth startups with strategic capital across India and the Middle East. The proceeds will be used to expand manufacturing, scale R&D for AI-powered drone software, and build delivery capacity for large-scale national deployments. Enercomp’s roadmap includes an Rs 8 crore strategic investment plan over the next year to strengthen its IP, product stack, and execution capabilities. Founded in Ahmedabad, Enercomp operates at the intersection of hardware, software, and services. Its integrated offerings span indigenous drone manufacturing, Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS), and a proprietary GIS analytics platform. The firm claims to have developed seven proprietary drone models, including VTOL, fixed-wing, and surveillance variants, which are actively deployed in commercial and government projects. With 70% of revenue driven by product sales, Enercomp counts Tata Projects, Reliance, Mahindra Susten, L&T, and several government agencies among its clients. Its software dashboard is used for real-time, mission-critical data analysis by enterprise and public sector clients. Enercomp claims that it grew from Rs 3.1 crore in FY23 to Rs 5.6 crore in FY24, maintaining profitability. As per the company, it has already logged Rs 4.2 crore in revenue in FY25, with an active order book of over Rs 9 crore. To date, the startup has raised Rs 6.9 crore across previous rounds and seen its valuation jump from Rs 12.5 crore to Rs 60 crore, with the founding team retaining over 80.5% equity, including a 4% ESOP pool.

MS Dhoni-backed Garuda Aerospace raises Rs 100 Cr in Series B round Drone technology startup Garuda Aerospace has raised Rs 100 crore ($11.6 million) in its Series B funding round led by Venture Catalysts (VCAT) at a post-money valuation of $250 million. Previously, the firm had raised $22 million in its Series A round led by Venture Capital firm SphitiCap in February 2023. The fresh proceeds will be used to scale up drone manufacturing, enhance production capabilities, and complete an R&D and testing center focused on defense drone technology. Founded in 2015 by Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Garuda has grown to a team of over 200 members and manufactures 30 drone types while offering 50 services. Garuda currently holds over 20 patents and operates a fleet of over 400 drones with 500 trained pilots across 84 cities. It serves clients including government agencies and major corporations such as TATA, Reliance, and Adani. It has also partnered with global companies like Lockheed Martin and Elbit Systems. As per TheKredible, Garuda Aerospace’s revenue from operations grew by 2.3X to Rs 110 crore in FY24 from Rs 47 crore in FY23. Its net profit reached Rs 16 crore in FY24, a 2.7X increase from Rs 6 crore in the previous year. Garuda competes with the likes of ideaForge, Aarav Unmanned Systems, Throttle Aerospace Systems, General Aeronautics, and Omnipresent Robot Tech in the drone manufacturing and drone-as-a-service (DaaS) segment across defense, agriculture, and industrial applications.
