Ukrainian cells and Internet still out, 1 day after suspected Russian cyberattack

Ukrainian civilians experienced widespread cellular phone and Internet outages for a second day following a cyberattack believed to be carried out by Kremlin-supported hackers. The attack targeted Kyivstar, the country's largest mobile phone and Internet provider. Two hacking groups with ties to the Russian government claimed responsibility for the attack, causing disruptions in various sectors including banking, power, and air alert systems. Kyivstar's digital infrastructure suffered critical damage, and the restoration process is ongoing. Hackers gained access by infiltrating an internal employee account. One of the groups involved has been linked to the notorious Sandworm hacking group.
