Snippets Tribe Stays raises $2.8 Mn led by Artha Venture and Riverwalk Hospitality brand Tribe Stays has raised $2.8 million (Rs 24 crore) in a seed round co-led by Artha Venture Fund and Riverwalk Holdings. Kunal Khanna, Krishna Jain, and several HNIs and family offices also participated. The proceeds will be used to expand its portfolio across its three sub-brands: Tribe Student Accommodation, Tribe Commune, and Tribe Suites. Tribe Stays operates 650 beds in Pune and plans to add 1,000 more this financial year. The firm aims to scale to 25,000 beds across tier I and tier II cities including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Pune. Founded by Yogesh Mehra, Tribe Stays operates premium long-stay accommodation under three sub-brands: Tribe Student Accommodation, Tribe Commune, and Tribe Suites. The company provides managed living spaces for students, professionals, corporates, and executive guests across major Indian cities. Tribe plans to partner with universities and companies that require managed accommodation for relocation and long-stay needs.

Online astrology platform InstaAstro has raised Rs 18.50 crore in its pre-Series A round led by Artha Venture Fund. The round also saw participation from LogX Ventures, Singularity Ventures, IR Capital Partners, Blume Founders Fund and Aloke Bajpai, MD & CEO of Ixigo. In November 2021, InstaAstro had raised Rs 3.2 crore in a seed round led by Artha Venture Fund along with Ramakant Sharma’s LogX Ventures. With fresh funds, InstaAstro is launching new spiritual e-commerce, daily pooja, and reiki healing services. As per the company, these offerings would deepen the platform’s user engagement and provide access to a comprehensive spiritual and astrological guidance ecosystem. Founded by Nitin Verma, InstaAstro claims to have over 200,000 monthly app installs, 50,000 minutes per day in consultations, and an ARR of $5 million. It offers horoscopes, tarot readings, and numerology in English, Hindi, and various regional languages. The startup has a total user base of over 5 million users and provided a cumulative consultation of more than 2 crore (20 million) minutes to its subscribers in FY24. The firm has 1,500 astrologers on its platform. It competes with GaneshaSpeaks, AstroTalk, Click Astro, and Bodhi. In the past 12 months, a clutch of astro and spiritual tech startups raised funds. The list included AstroTalk, Vama, Utsav, DevDham (previously DevDarshan), and Melooha. As per Entrackr’s sources, Bodhi is also in talks to raise a new round. AstroTalk had raised the largest funding ($20 million) among the astro and spiritual tech startups.

RSPL raises $3 Mn seed round led by Equirus and Artha Venture Fund Deeptech startup Raana Semiconductors Pvt. Ltd. (RSPL) has raised $3 million in a seed round led by Equirus Innovatex Fund and Artha Venture Fund, with participation from IvyCap Ventures, PointOne Capital, CIIE Initiatives (IIMA Ventures) and angel investor Garimella Laxminarayana. This marks the company’s first institutional funding and was raised through a pure equity round. The proceeds will be used to accelerate R&D and product development of indigenous Czochralski (CZ) silicon ingot growth systems. The firm is initially focusing on building systems capable of producing 10–12 inch solar-grade silicon ingots, with a long-term roadmap toward semiconductor-grade wafers. Founded over a decade ago, Raana Semiconductors works on CZ-based crystal growth equipment and single-crystal materials. It develops and supplies turnkey silicon ingot growth systems, including installation, commissioning, and after-sales support, which are typically sourced from overseas suppliers. RSPL is currently the only private Indian company focused exclusively on CZ crystal growth equipment. The firm has worked with institutions such as BARC and IGCAR and has also executed projects under the Ministry of Defence’s iDEX programme. For FY26, the company has secured confirmed orders worth Rs 12 crore from government departments and national laboratories. Raana Semiconductors plans to commercialise its solar-grade CZ systems within the next 18 months, targeting large-scale silicon ingot production for domestic solar manufacturers.
